PGM Voice Training is a community based singing and voice training project in and around the Northwest London region. PGM offers voice training sessions for any interested individual, group, church choir and children from the age of 5, desiring to learn how to sing, strengthen or improve the vocal quality of their singing.
ABOUT
The project is organized and run by Lynda, who is a Worship Music Leader and Voice Trainer, offering her services to private individuals and choirs. Lynda has also worked with the "Villa Kunterbunt" Kindergarten in Wesseling Germany, under the European Socrates Programme for Linguistic and Cultural Exchanges, where she taught English through playful and educative singing activities. Under the Socrates Programme, the focus was to raise an awareness for children and adults about the need to know the importance of water for life on Earth and how to discover and solve problems related to water. This programme gave birth to the singing water droplet character named "Mmiri Uwa" which was made into a short animated movie, and introduced to the participating nurseries. This programme was also later introduced into the children's kindergarten curriculum in various European countries, i.e Germany, Sweden, Poland and France.
AIMS & OBJECTIVES
PGM Voice Training is a community project which aims to reach out to adults and children in communities through vocal coaching/mentoring, providing them with opportunities to grow and develop their social and musical skills through voice training and creative musical interaction.
It also aims to help vocally ailing Adult/Youth Church Choirs improve the quality of their ministrations.
ACTIVITIES FOR CHILDREN:
We offer vocal training sessions to schools as part of a fun and lively school activity. Our tailor cut activities for children are meant to build and develop their vocal strength, by encouraging communication among them through playful singing and meaningful expressions through music. That way, their appreciation of music will increase and boost their morale. We want the children to have an outlet to blossom in their musical creativity. The children will learn to sing in groups and individually and also learn to play various self-made musical instruments.
As the children improve their singing skills, they will have the chance to showcase their talents by giving free of charge performances to the community at selected venues. This will serve to further motivate them and boost their self-esteem.
BASIC VOICE TRAINING FOR INDIVIDUALS, ADULT & YOUTH CHOIRS.
The vocal instructions are aimed at helping you strengthen your voice, develop your vocal chords and learn how to use your lung volume effectively for singing power, but this will require you 'unlearning' all your bad singing habits first.
The lessons are split into 5 sections which include:

- We will have music and movement classes 2x weekly to offer the children the opportunity to develop their motor and social skills.
- The children will do finger plays and have musical sessions using modern simple instruments and some of their own hand crafted instruments.
